IMTOF 2026 & IPPEX26 Inaugurated at Chennai Trade Centre with Strong Industry Participation

Chennai, April 2, 2026: The much-anticipated industrial exhibitions IMTOF 2026 & IPPEX26 were formally inaugurated on Thursday at the Chennai Trade Centre, Nandambakkam, bringing together key stakeholders from the manufacturing, polymer, and engineering sectors under one roof.

The inaugural ceremony, held at 10:00 AM, witnessed the presence of prominent dignitaries from government, academia, and industry. The event was inaugurated by Smt. Rajalakshmi Devaraj, IDAS, Zonal Additional Director General of Foreign Trade, Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India, Chennai.

Prof. Sanjay K. Nayak, Honourable Vice Chancellor of Ravenshaw University, Cuttack, graced the occasion as a distinguished guest.
The event was presided over by Thiru Srinivasan, President of the Indian Polymer Compounders Collaborative, along with notable industry leaders including Prof. Dr. Shishir Sinha, Director General of CIPET under the Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers; Thiru S. Murali Shankar, Executive Vice Chairman of Super Auto Forge Pvt. Ltd.; Thiru S. Suresh Babuji, IEDS, Director of MSME Development & Facilitation Office, Guindy; and Thiru T.A.B. Barathi, Senior Vice President (SCM) of Wheels India Ltd., TVS Group.

Organised with the aim of fostering industrial growth and innovation, the twin exhibitions feature over 500 exhibits spread across a sprawling 30,000 square metre exhibition area. The event is expected to attract more than 60,000 business visitors, highlighting its significance as a premier platform for networking and collaboration.

The exhibitions showcase the latest advancements in manufacturing technologies, polymer processing, and engineering solutions. Attendees can experience live demonstrations, product launches, and participate in a technical conference designed to promote knowledge exchange and industry insights.

Speaking at the inauguration, dignitaries emphasized the importance of such platforms in strengthening India’s manufacturing ecosystem, encouraging MSME participation, and enhancing global trade opportunities.

IMTOF 2026 & IPPEX26 will continue over the next few days, offering industry professionals, entrepreneurs, and students an opportunity to explore cutting-edge innovations and build strategic partnerships.

The event is being coordinated by industry office bearers including D. Vinoth Babu, President, and R. Jayachandran, Treasurer, who welcomed participants and expressed confidence in the exhibition’s success.
