Madras Art Weekend 2025 Kicks Off with Inspiring Theme: ‘Madras Reimagined’ Gallery Exhibit

Chennai, 3 December 2025: Madras Art Weekend 2025 opened with a VIP Preview and the launch of its Gallery Exhibit at Taj Coromandel, ahead of public access from 4–6 December. The evening began with a lamp-lighting ceremony led by Hon’ble IT & Digital Services Minister Dr. Palanivel Thiaga Rajan, filmmaker Mani Ratnam, US Consul General Christopher Hodges, and social entrepreneur Sethu Vaidyanathan, followed by an exhibition walk-through.

The festival will also feature a Collectors’ Panel on “The Impact of Private and Public Patronage”, moderated by Deepali Goyal with speakers Amit Khanna, Siddharth Somaiya, Rhea Kuruvilla, and Narayan Lakshman.

Founder Upasana Asrani said the event aims to celebrate Chennai’s creative pulse and reimagine the city through diverse artistic perspectives. Mani Ratnam added that the platform continues to enrich Chennai’s cultural dialogue and spotlight exceptional creative talent.
