IMTEX Forming 2026: Asia’s Largest Metal Forming Technology Show happening in Jan 2026 at Bengaluru
Chennai, 25 November 2025: The Indian Machine Tool Manufacturers' Association (IMTMA) will host IMTEX FORMING 2026 from 21–25 January 2026 at the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre (BIEC), Bengaluru. The show will bring global leaders in metal forming technology under one roof.

This edition will feature major concurrent events, including Tooltech (machine tool accessories, metrology and tooling solutions), Digital Manufacturing (additive manufacturing and Industry 4.0 technologies), and Weldexpo organised with the Indian Institute of Welding. Moldex India and Fastenex India, organised by Messe Stuttgart, will also run alongside, highlighting moulding, fastening, and fixing technologies.

Several parallel forums will enrich the event:
- The 9th International Seminar on Forming Technology (22–23 January 2026) showcasing global advancements in metal forming.
- i2 Academia Square, connecting research institutes with industry.
- Jagruti – IMTMA Youth Programme, designed to familiarise young professionals with modern manufacturing technologies.
IMTEX FORMING 2026 will host strong international participation from Germany, Italy, Japan, and Taiwan, and attract visitors from diverse sectors such as automotive, aerospace, defence, medical equipment, construction, power, railways, and consumer goods.
IMTMA President Ms. Mohini Kelkar noted that while metal forming accounts for 29% of India’s machine tool market, the segment is poised for significant growth. In FY25, India recorded ₹9,139 crore in consumption, ₹2,696 crore in production, and a 6% rise in exports, led by presses, press brakes, bending machines, and shearing machines.
IMTMA Director General & CEO Mr. Jibak Dasgupta highlighted the growing acceptance of laser-based manufacturing solutions. Exhibitors will showcase fibre laser systems, servo presses, precision levellers, pick-and-place units, welding technologies, 3D printing solutions, and machine monitoring systems. He added that the event will further boost domestic manufacturing and exports.
The five-day exhibition aims to accelerate the adoption of digitalisation, advanced automation, and high-productivity solutions across India’s manufacturing ecosystem.
