Chennai, 22nd September 2025: Shree Geeta Bhavan Trust, founded in 1971 by visionary philanthropists Sri Uggersen Goel ji, Sri Hari Gopal ji Agarwal, and Sri Ashok Kumar Goel ji, continues its legacy of service with the successful organization of a Free Artificial Limb Distribution Camp in collaboration with Mukti: M.S. Dadha Foundation. Held at Geeta Bhavan Hall, Gopalapuram, Chennai, the event was graced by Tmt. M. Lakshmi, I.A.S., Commissioner for Welfare of the Differently Abled, as the Chief Guest.

Free Artificial Limbs & Calipers Distributed to Amputees by Shree Geeta Bhavan Trust & Mukti:M.S.Dadha Foundation

This year, 101 artificial limbs and callipers were distributed to underprivileged amputees from across Tamil Nadu and neighbouring states, bringing the total number of limbs distributed by the Trust over three years to 253. Speaking at the event, Shri. Manu Goel, Managing Trustee, emphasized the Trust’s mission: “Each individual has the right to dream and seek equal opportunities. Our aim is to empower the differently abled by restoring their mobility and independence.” He also expressed appreciation for the collaboration with the M.S. Dadha Foundation, highlighting the shared commitment to inclusivity and empowerment.

Chennai, August 22, 2025 — A recent study by the Insurance Awareness Committee (IAC-Life), conducted in collaboration with Kantar, a market research platform has identified Tamil Nadu as one of the states with a high potential for life insurance penetration. The study underscored the importance of region-specific insights in advancing life insurance penetration. Chennai, August 19, 2025: In a remarkable medical achievement, the multidisciplinary team at SIMS Hospital successfully treated a young IT professional suffering from Dermatofibrosarcoma Protuberans (DFSP), a rare and aggressive skin cancer that swiftly spreads to surrounding tissues, including muscle and bone. In the patient’s case, the cancer had severely affected his scalp and skull. The scalp is now fully covered with healthy and stable tissue. The patient will need regular follow-up for early detection of recurrence, sun protection, and good scalp hygiene. After the tumour was removed, the patient’s skull was reconstructed. Then, the scalp was repaired in stages using skin grafts ,flaps tissue expander and the final repair using a piece of tissue from the patient’s thigh.
