Chennai, 22nd September 2025: Shree Geeta Bhavan Trust, founded in 1971 by visionary philanthropists Sri Uggersen Goel ji, Sri Hari Gopal ji Agarwal, and Sri Ashok Kumar Goel ji, continues its legacy of service with the successful organization of a Free Artificial Limb Distribution Camp in collaboration with Mukti: M.S. Dadha Foundation. Held at Geeta Bhavan Hall, Gopalapuram, Chennai, the event was graced by Tmt. M. Lakshmi, I.A.S., Commissioner for Welfare of the Differently Abled, as the Chief Guest.

This year, 101 artificial limbs and callipers were distributed to underprivileged amputees from across Tamil Nadu and neighbouring states, bringing the total number of limbs distributed by the Trust over three years to 253. Speaking at the event, Shri. Manu Goel, Managing Trustee, emphasized the Trust’s mission: “Each individual has the right to dream and seek equal opportunities. Our aim is to empower the differently abled by restoring their mobility and independence.” He also expressed appreciation for the collaboration with the M.S. Dadha Foundation, highlighting the shared commitment to inclusivity and empowerment.

Other trustees present included Shri. Om Prakash Modi (Chairman), Shri. Murarilal Sonthalia (Treasurer), Shri. Shivkumar Goenka, Shri. Manoharlal Bagaria, Shri. K.K. Gupta, and Shri. Vishal Agarwal.

Key Initiatives of Shree Geeta Bhavan Trust:
  • Sponsorship of artificial limbs for differently abled individuals
  • Over 600 free mass marriages for differently abled persons
  • Medical aid and regular free multi-specialty camps
  • Construction of toilets and girls’ hostels
  • Scholarships and educational support for underprivileged students
  • Free classes in Yoga, Sanskrit, Gita, and Hindi
  • Welfare programs for transgender communities
  • Annadhan (free food distribution) and disaster relief efforts
  • Donations of medical equipment to charitable hospitals
