𝘛𝘩𝘦𝘯𝘮𝘰𝘻𝘩𝘪 𝘔𝘦𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘪𝘢𝘭 𝘛𝘳𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘱𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘴 "𝘙𝘩𝘢𝘱𝘴𝘰𝘥𝘺" – 𝘊𝘦𝘭𝘦𝘣𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘢 𝘊𝘢𝘶𝘴𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘚𝘶𝘱𝘱𝘰𝘳𝘵 𝘜𝘯𝘥𝘦𝘳𝘱𝘳𝘪𝘷𝘪𝘭𝘦𝘨𝘦𝘥 𝘊𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘦𝘳 𝘗𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘴

Chennai, May 10, 2025 – The 9th edition of Rhapsody – Celebrating for a Cause, the annual cultural fundraiser by the Thenmozhi Memorial Trust, captivated hearts and raised hope at the Sir Mutha Venkatasubba Rao Concert Hall. Held on the eve of Mother’s Day, the event is a heartfelt tribute to Founder Arun Kumar’s late mother, Thenmozhi, and furthers her legacy by supporting underprivileged cancer patients through art, awareness, and fundraising.

𝘛𝘩𝘦𝘯𝘮𝘰𝘻𝘩𝘪 𝘔𝘦𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘪𝘢𝘭 𝘛𝘳𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘱𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘴 "𝘙𝘩𝘢𝘱𝘴𝘰𝘥𝘺" – 𝘊𝘦𝘭𝘦𝘣𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘢 𝘊𝘢𝘶𝘴𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘚𝘶𝘱𝘱𝘰𝘳𝘵 𝘜𝘯𝘥𝘦𝘳𝘱𝘳𝘪𝘷𝘪𝘭𝘦𝘨𝘦𝘥 𝘊𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘦𝘳 𝘗𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘴

An evening of cultural brilliance and heartfelt moments, Rhapsody 2025 featured a vibrant lineup of performances:

  • Stand-up comedy by ‘Manager Anaachi’  Ramkumar Natarajan
  • Live music by Aparna Narayanan & Prasanna
  • Mime act by Mime Gopi
  • Mimicry by Kuraishi
  • Dance performance by the Agni Crew
  • Fashion walk featuring cancer survivor warriors, with actress Sai Dhanshika as the showstopper

Special appearances by: Archana Chandhoke, Raveena Daha, Sunita Gogoi, Monisha Blessy, Sai Dheena and other celebrated personalities who added their voice to the cause.

The emotional centerpiece of the evening was the fashion walk, where cancer survivors graced the ramp with dignity and courage, celebrating their journeys and inspiring everyone present. Their strength and resilience moved the audience, culminating in a heartfelt standing ovation.

Arun Kumar, Founder of Thenmozhi Memorial Trust, shared: "This year marks the 11th year of the Trust, and it’s a privilege to continue honouring my mother’s memory and celebrating all mothers through this initiative. We’re humbled to contribute to this cause and support cancer warriors in their fight.”

All proceeds from the evening will go toward providing treatment and support for cancer patients from financially challenged backgrounds, offering them critical medical aid and a lifeline of hope.
