𝘎𝘓𝘖𝘙𝘐𝘈 2024 𝘊𝘩𝘳𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘮𝘢𝘴 𝘤𝘦𝘭𝘦𝘣𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴 𝘢𝘵 𝘔𝘢𝘳 𝘎𝘳𝘦𝘨𝘰𝘳𝘪𝘰𝘴 𝘊𝘰𝘭𝘭𝘦𝘨𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘈𝘳𝘵𝘴 & 𝘚𝘤𝘪𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘦, 𝘔𝘰𝘨𝘢𝘱𝘱𝘢𝘪𝘳 𝘞𝘦𝘴𝘵

Chennai: The much-awaited GLORIA 2024 Christmas celebration was held on December 21, 2024, at the Mar Ivanios Hall from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM. Organized with great enthusiasm, the event brought together students, teaching and non teaching staff members to rejoice in the festive spirit of Christmas. The program began with a  prayer song by the college choir, setting a spiritual tone for the event. This was followed by a vibrant welcome dance performed by the MGPS students, showcasing their talent and energy, and creating a joyous atmosphere.

The welcome address was eloquently delivered by Prof. R. Selvi, adding warmth to the occasion.  Secretary, Rev. Fr. Mathew Pallikunnel, bestowed his blessings upon the gathering, emphasizing the importance of love, unity, and compassion during this festive season. A special felicitation was extended by the Principal, Dr. R. Srikanth. Prof. Ann Hepzhibah introduced the chief guest to the gathering. The  Chief Guest, Rev. Sister Lizzy Chakkalakal FMM, was honoured by the Secretary and the Principal.Rev Sr.Lizzy Chakkalakal delivered an inspiring address that highlighted the true meaning of Christmas and the value of service to humanity.

Student Carols by the first-prize winners from both Shift I and Shift II were melodiously rendered, captivating the audience and spreading the Christmas cheer. Performances by the college choir, staff choir, and non-teaching staff choir added a harmonious touch to the event, showcasing the spirit of togetherness. The calendar and diary for the year 2025 was released by the chief guest and received by the Secretary and the Principal..

The celebration concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks delivered by Ms. P. Femina, expressing gratitude to everyone who contributed to the success of the event. A short tea break allowed the participants to interact and share the festive spirit. The finale featured the exchange of gifts as part of the "Chris Mom & Chris Child" tradition, symbolizing the essence of sharing and caring. The event was a grand success, leaving everyone with cherished memories of joy and togetherness.
