Chennai, November 8th 2024: Grand Chennai by GRT Hotels kick-started the festive season with its traditional Cake Mixing Ceremony, marked by a strong commitment to sustainability and community spirit. The event drew esteemed Mr.Vikram Cotah, CEO GRT Hotels & Resorts & Celebrity Chef Damu, Extinguished Guests and hotel staff, all gathered to engage in the cherished tradition of holiday cake mixing.
The ceremony featured a twist on tradition with an eco-friendly tree lighting that symbolized growth and environmental responsibility. Instead of lighting a conventional Christmas tree, guests planted saplings on a custom-designed metal frame shaped like a tree, highlighting the hotelโs dedication to eco-conscious practices. Each sapling will continue to be nurtured, embodying a sustainable approach to the festive spirit.
