Chennai, July 02, 2024: Rtn G Chella Krishna has been installed as 96th President Rotary Club of Madras (RI Dist.3234) along with his team of office bearers for the rotary year 2024-25.

The installation took place in the presence of Rtn.N S Saravanan, District Governor 3234 (2024-25), Rtn J Sridhar District Governor 3232 and Rtn S Ravi, 95th President Rotary Club of Madras, Rtn Vikram Chesetty, Director-Club Services, Rtn M Sesha Sai, Hon.Secretary and PDGs, Presidents & District Officials.

Chennai, 15 October 2025: A 13-year-old boy from an economically disadvantaged background made a remarkable recovery at Madras Medical Mission (MMM) Hospital, Chennai, after facing life-threatening complications from a chronic heart condition. His condition rapidly worsened, leading to a dramatic drop in heart function, unresponsive blood pressure, kidney failure requiring dialysis, and liver congestion. A heart transplant became the only viable option. With his father working as a driver and unable to afford the high cost, financial support was arranged through MMM’s Social Works Department and a major Trust. Just as doctors considered temporary cardiac support, a donor heart from a young adult became available through TRANSTAN, far sooner than expected. The three-day conclave (October 10–12) gathers over 1250 delegates from across India and 40+ international faculty members to explore innovations in GI oncology, artificial intelligence, and minimally invasive surgery.
