GEM Hospital Inaugurates Fatty Liver Clinic & Know Your Liver Initiative as part of World Liver Day

Chennai, 24th April 2024: GEM Hospital, India’s premier Gastroenterology, laparoscopic and Robotic surgery hospital inaugurated a Fatty Liver Clinic and Free Liver Camp in Chennai today.  As a part of World Liver Day celebrations, this Free Liver Camp will be held from 24th Apr’24 till 4th May’24.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. C. Palanivelu, Chairman - GEM Hospitals stated, "We are glad to open a holistic Fatty Liver Clinic at our GEM Hospital in Perungudi and to conduct this Free Liver Camp which will benefit numerous people in the city with various health issues. Specialists from our hospital will provide free consultation for Liver problems and procedures like Fibroscan, Liver Function Tests, Test for Hepatitis B&C Virus, Ultra Sound Scan, Fatty Liver screening  and vaccination are to be carried out at a very nominal cost for required patients throughout this camp period”.

“A new campaign called ‘Know Your Liver’ is also launched to create more awareness about Fatty Liver to general public. Anyone can just scan the below given QR code with the help of their smart phone and get their doubts cleared about fatty liver”, he further added.
