Kyrgyzstan Ambassador Inaugurates Indo Eurasia Trade Conference
Chennai, December 21, 2023: India Eurasia Trade Conference was organized in Chennai for boosting ties with the region at Hilton Hotel, Chennai. The conference was attended by H.E. Mr ASKAR ZHOLCHUBEKOVICH BESHIMOV, Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic in India as the Chief Guest along with his Spouse and Trade Attaché Mr Azamat from the Kyrgyzstan Embassy.
The program which explain about the sectoral possibilities to enhance business cooperation with the Eurasian region was joined by the Russian Consul in Chennai, Mr. Oleg N. Avdeev; Chennai Branch Head of Ministry of External Affairs, Mr. Venkatachalam Murugan; President of the Indian Economic Trade Organization, Dr. Asif Iqbal along with other prominent personalities from Industrial background as well as from diplomatic community.
During the function renowned business personality, Dr. AV Anoop was appointmented as the Chairman of the India Eurasian Trade Council (IETC) who was honored during the ceremony with the official certificate by the Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to India. Anoop is an entrepreneur, social worker and film producer. He is the managing director of AVA Group of companies,a consortium of ayurvedic, herbal and food products which is also famous for Medimex and has also produced Paleri Manikyam: Oru Pathirakolapathakathinte Katha, that won the 2009 Kerala State Film Award for Best Film and Vishwaguru, a film that was made and released in 51 hours and 2 minutes following a "script to screen" rule, creating a new Guinness World Records.

The Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan explained the possibilities of business opportunities in Kyrgyzstan and talked about the strong potential of India Eurasia relations. During the day the Kyrgyz Ambassador also inaugurated the office of India Eurasia Trade Council in Anna Nagar, Chennai which would be operated by the IETC Board Chairman, Dr. Anoop.
President of the Indian Economic Trade Organization, Dr. Asif Iqbal briefed the audience about the past engagements of the council with the Eurasian region and appreciated the efforts of the Ministry of External Affairs for extensive approach towards strengthening this relation.
The Chairman of the India Eurasian Trade Conference has announced a business delegation to Kyrgyzstan and Russia in March, next year to explore Trade opportunities. He also put emphasis on cinema cooperation for which a special team of film producers, Directors and Team will be traveling to the region for scouting purpose.
There is huge scope in the region and has gained impetus in the recent years. The setup of this Trade office in Chennai will provide mega boost for the people of South India to enhance Trade opportunities with Eurasia.
