While most of the brands in the hardware business are building a strong vertical presence with their product offerings, Collins plans to build its business through horizontal offline stores primarily focusing on ready and custom-made solutions in kitchens, wardrobes and partitions. The Collins standalone studio in Chennai is one of the latest destination and a one-stop-shop offering complete solutions and designs for said products. With exclusive franchises in Mumbai, Hyderabad and Jodhpur, Collins’ new design studio in Chennai that serves architects and designers, will provide end-to-end kitchen and wardrobe solutions in the luxury price range. The studio will have on offer a wide range of interior fitting solutions that matches individual tastes and meets specific requisites while bestowing the latest innovations.

Commenting on the newly launched Collins franchise store, Siddhant Agrawal, Director of Sales and Marketing, says, “Chennai is a very significant market for us since the city not only has the spending capacity and scale of luxury projects, but also has the exposure to international products and the aptitude to invest in luxury. The modern-day affluent Indian consumer is discerning, mindful, well-travelled and has a keen eye for quality and design. Through the launch of our franchise model, we are aiming to create a very judicious and collaborative environment for consumption of superior quality luxury home appliances.”

Speaking about the brands expansion into a new market, Nishant Shah, Head of Franchisee and Marketing, says, “We are looking at solidifying our retail presence this year by growing our network and establishing our presence in large format retail. Collins is set to open 12 stores by 2024 out of which some will be flagship and mostly will be operated through our robust network of prospective franchise partners. Nevertheless, where luxury consumption is evolving, the purchase is already made even prior a customer visits the physical store. It is very vital for a luxury brand to reserve its quality in addition to presenting a diverse brand identity. Addressing these requisites, we plan to prudently select our touch-points in the city”.
