Chennai, 4th February 2022: GEM Hospital, India’s premier Gastroenterology, laparoscopic and Robotic surgery hospital today inaugurates “Cancer Expo 2022” and launches a unique Interactive Virtual Platform - “Vayiru360.com”. GEM Hospital gave the honour of officially launching the portal Vayiru360.com to Ms.Geetha, a stage-4 colorectal cancer survivor aged 63.

The theme for the next 3 years (2022-2024) for World Cancer Day which falls on 4th Feb, is “Close the Care Gap”. The first year of this campaign is all about understanding and recognising the inequities in cancer care around the globe. As a responsible institution, GEM Hospital has left no stone unturned about Cancer care and launched a virtual awareness initiative to prevent cancer and the importance of screening for early detection of cancer.

To mark the occasion of World Cancer Day, GEM Hospital invites cancer survivors to share their stories with a video or a write-up.
