Sixteen men's teams and six women's teams wouldp articipate in the event. The Tamil Nadu Blind Football Association (TNFBA) was officially established in 2019 to promote football among visually impaired persons in Tamil Nadu. The website tnbfa.in offers more information on TNFBA and includes its vision, mission, and activities.
The TNBFA teams had been training at Loyola college since 2018. Later on, with the support from the Principal of Montfort School, we have created our home base at Montfort School, St. Thomas Mount. Our male and female players are from Chennai, and we conduct training sessions once a week.
We concluded the first-ever three-day residential camp for male and female players from 10-09-2021 to 12-09-2021 at Montfort School. We had a participation number of 28 female and 40 male players who had joined the camp for training.
2023 was the year designated to conduct the National Championship. However, it is advanced to 2021, and we have been privileged to host it this year. It was due to our strategic planning and the efficient and effective conducting of the training sessions and camp.
The first ever women's tournament will begin on 27th Wednesday The morning session will be from 7am to 9am and the evening session will be from 3pm to 8pm.
The Women's championship finals and men's tournament inauguration will be held On 28th at 4 pm.
About 200 participants will take part from the states of West Bengal, Karnataka, Maharashtra , Uttar kant, Tamilnadu and Union territoty of Puduchery.
From our experience with Visually Impaired(VI) football, we have observed that VI persons do not have the opportunity to participate in sports and physical activities at the school and college levels. It results in poor or almost no physical literacy levels. We want to spread awareness and help correct and promote physical literacy through football among the VI students.
We observed tremendous progress during the short time we used football as a medium to promote physical activity among VI persons. It includes general fitness, movement skills, and generally a boost in self-confidence.
We are keen to ensure a memorable performance that will help to boost the growth of blind football in Tamil Nadu. The Championship would be in line with our vision with the support from the people of Tamilnadu. We also want to be a source of inspiration to encourage more coaches and organizations to train the VI persons in various sporting activities.
As a team, we hope that you can personally as well as use your network to support the nationals. It will also help us look beyond the championship, to also sustain and expand and improve this program.
As a part of this sponsorship, we can display on-site branding during the tournament. We also have sideboards that are an integral part of the game and have high visibility during the matches. We are looking to raise funds through branding on the sideboards.
We plan to have the event covered by local and national media, and we are in discussion with Doordarshan for a live telecast of the finals. We seek the support of our Media friends in promoting this sport of the visually come and witness this unique sports. Challenged to the maximum possible extent and taking this to the general public tocome and witness this unique sports.

A heart transplant became the only viable option. With his father working as a driver and unable to afford the high cost, financial support was arranged through MMM’s Social Works Department and a major Trust. Just as doctors considered temporary cardiac support, a donor heart from a young adult became available through TRANSTAN, far sooner than expected. The match was excellent, and the transplant was scheduled immediately. Moments before surgery, the boy suffered cardiac arrest, but was successfully resuscitated, allowing the transplant to proceed. Post-surgery, his kidneys resumed f...
