Every year, thousands of pilgrims and ardent devotees of Mother Mary undertake the pilgrimage to the Shrine in honour of her. However, due to the restrictions in force, I request the devotees and the public not to come to the Shrine on these days, especially on the Flag Hoisting day as police personnel will be on guard to enforce restrictions.

Therefore, sufficient arrangements have been made to help the devotees to participate in the pilgrimage and festive celebrations via online through Madha TV Channel and other social media platforms such as Facebook and YouTube. All the proceedings including the flag hoisting and daily liturgical celebrations on novena days will be streamed live through Madha TV, Facebook and YouTube.

I earnestly request your kind cooperation and support. I request you not to try to come to the Shrine. Instead, I request you all to remain at home, and devoutly participate in the celebrations through Madha TV, Facebook, YouTube and other online platforms.

On 29th August, Saturday at 5.45 pm, the Archbishop of Madras-Mylapore, Most Rev Dr George Antonysamy, will hoist the flag of Mother Mary, who will also conclude the annual festival with the Lowering of the Flag on 8th September at 5.30pm.

I request you all to participate in the celebrations through the live streaming and pray for your families and the whole world. I specially pray for all of you and your families. I place all of your intentions at the feet of Mother Mary so that your families and your near and dear ones may be blessed through her powerful intercession.

All the Professions this year with be conducted with in the Church premises.
