SRM Valliammai Engineering College Celebrates 21st Graduation Day, Honouring 729 Graduates
Chennai, June 28, 2026: A proud milestone and a celebration of academic excellence! SRM Valliammai Engineering College (SRMVEC) celebrated its 21st Graduation Day on June 28, 2026, at the prestigious Dr. T. P. Ganesan Auditorium, marking the successful completion of an enriching four-year academic journey for 729 graduates as they stepped confidently into the next phase of their professional lives.
The ceremony commenced with the wishes and blessings of Dr. Ravi Pachamoothoo, Chairman of the SRM Group, and Ms. R. Harini, Correspondent of SRMVEC. The gathering was welcomed by Dr. B. Visalakshi, Vice Principal, while Dr. M. Murugan, Principal, presented the College Report, highlighting the institution's achievements. Dr. R. Venkatesh Babu, Director (Academics & Administration), SRM Group, presided over the event.

The highlight of the ceremony was the presence of Dr. S. R. Ramanan, Eminent Meteorologist and Former Director of the Area Cyclone Warning Centre, Chennai, who conferred degrees upon 729 graduates. A total of 48 outstanding rank holders were honoured with medals and certificates in recognition of their exceptional academic performance.
In his inspiring keynote address, Dr. Ramanan encouraged graduates to embrace practical knowledge, innovation, and lifelong learning in an ever-evolving technological world. He reminded students that true success is measured not by salary or designation, but by the positive impact they create in society.
He also highlighted exciting career opportunities across emerging fields such as Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Analytics, Software Development, Business Analytics, Digital Marketing, Healthcare, Animation, Multimedia, Hospitality, Event Management, Fashion Design, and Interior Design, urging graduates to pursue careers aligned with their passion and strengths.
