The ICG Open Camera, paired with the Valleylab surgical diathermy system, introduces advanced fluorescence imaging and precision electrosurgical capabilities to the hospital's oncology department. These cutting-edge technologies enable surgeons to accurately identify tumors, map lymph nodes in real time, reduce blood loss, and perform safer, more precise procedures—ultimately improving recovery and long-term survival for cancer patients.

Meaning "Friendship for Life," Mythri Jeevan reflects Rotary's commitment to creating lasting global partnerships for better healthcare. The initiative was supported by Rotary Districts 3233 and 3300, international partner Rotary Club of Nilai Central (District 3300), and made possible through the generous contributions of major donors Rtn Vinay Grandhi & Family and Smt Asha Mehta & Family.

The landmark event was graced by Rtn D. Devendran, District Governor (2025–26), along with major donor Rtn Vinay Grandhi and Ann Sweta Grandhi, Rtn Prasanth Gireesh, Rtn Rajkumar Narang, Club Secretary, and First Lady Ann Roshni Modi, among other distinguished Rotary leaders.

Speaking on the occasion, Rtn Apoorva Modi, President (2025–26), Rotary Club of Chennai Capital, said: "The 'Mythri Jeevan' project embodies the true essence of Rotary—crossing borders to bring life-saving technology to those who need it most. By equipping the hospital with these advanced diagnostic and surgical systems, we are giving medical professionals the tools to save lives and giving families hope."

The successful completion of the project stands as another shining example of Rotary's dedication to advancing healthcare through collaboration, compassion, and service above self.
