Chennais Amirta Celebrates Graduation Day 2026 with Alagappa University; 800 Students Receive Degrees
Chennai, June 24, 2026: A proud and memorable milestone unfolded as Chennais Amirta International Institute of Hotel Management, in collaboration with Alagappa University, celebrated Graduation Day 2026 at a grand ceremony held at the MMA, Mount Road, Chennai.
The prestigious event was graced by Prof. G. Ravi, Honorary Colonel and Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor of Alagappa University, as the Chief Guest. Addressing the graduating students, he highlighted the importance of lifelong learning, innovation, ethical leadership, and continuous skill development in an increasingly competitive global economy.

A total of 800 students were awarded degrees across programmes including B.Sc. Catering and Hotel Administration, Diploma in Hotel Administration, B.Sc. Lateral Entry, and MBA in Hotel Management, reflecting the strength of the academic collaboration between Chennais Amirta and Alagappa University.
Speaking on the occasion, R. Boomee Naathan, Chairman of Chennais Amirta Group of Institutions, congratulated the graduates and expressed gratitude to parents, faculty members, industry partners, and Alagappa University for their continued support. He noted that graduation is not the end of education but the beginning of a lifelong journey of learning, leadership, and professional excellence.
Highlighting the institution’s remarkable growth, he shared that the Chennais Amirta Group now offers career-oriented programmes in Hotel Management, Aviation and Airport Management, Nursing and Allied Health Sciences, and Logistics and Supply Chain Management across campuses in Chennai, Chengalpattu, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Vijayawada, Kochi, and Delhi.
The institution has achieved an impressive milestone of facilitating 31,651+ national and international placements, helping students build successful careers with leading hospitality brands across India, the Middle East, Europe, Southeast Asia, the Maldives, Mauritius, and other global destinations.
Adding another feather to its cap, Chennais Amirta recently signed an MoU with the Malaysian Association of Hotels, creating opportunities for students to work with over 1,100 hotels across Malaysia and further strengthening its reputation as a leader in hospitality placements.
In his inspiring message to the graduates, Mr. Boomee Naathan said, “Your degree is more than a qualification; it is a responsibility. Carry forward the values of integrity, professionalism, discipline, and service excellence wherever your career takes you.”
The ceremony was attended by Chief Operating Officer Mrs. Banumathi, Dean Mr. Suren, Chief Academic Advisor Mr. Paul, and principals from the Nursing, Bengaluru, Balkampet, Vijayawada, and Aviation campuses.
