Dubai Comes Alive in Chennai: Actor Pugazh Launches ‘Dubai Summer Carnival 2026’

Chennai, April 24, 2026: Bringing a slice of Middle Eastern grandeur to the city, popular actor and comedian Pugazh on Friday evening inaugurated the much-anticipated Dubai Summer Carnival Chennai 2026 along the NH Bypass Road near Nolambur. The grand launch drew large crowds, marking the beginning of a vibrant summer attraction for residents.

The carnival was officially opened at 5 pm, with Pugazh interacting with visitors, touring the attractions, and lauding the organisers for recreating an international carnival experience in Chennai. The event has been organised by Mishri Group of Companies in association with WE1 Entertainment, aiming to capture the lively spirit and visual appeal of Dubai through themed installations and immersive zones.

A major highlight of the carnival is the visually captivating Surreal Dubai Waterfalls, designed to offer visitors a unique and picturesque experience. The event also features a wide array of attractions including a Snow World experience, an Avatar-inspired immersive zone, a horror house, amusement rides, carnival games, and shopping stalls, catering to all age groups.

The inaugural event was attended by several prominent business leaders, including Parsan Chand Dugar, Managing Director of Mishri Group of Companies; Sundarlingam, Director of Jeyachandran Retail Pvt Ltd; Jayantilal Challani, Managing Director of Challani Jewellery Mart; and Varadharajan, CEO of Sowbhagya Electronics.

Speaking on the occasion, Parsan Chand Dugar said the carnival was envisioned as a platform to bring Dubai’s festive energy to Chennai, creating a lively destination for families to enjoy entertainment and shopping. Pugazh, in his address, expressed happiness at being part of the initiative and invited the public to visit the carnival with their families and friends.

The carnival will be open to visitors from April 24 to June 7, between 3 pm and 10 pm, at its venue near Maduravoyal along the NH Bypass Road in Nolambur.

With an enthusiastic response on opening day, the Dubai Summer Carnival Chennai 2026 is poised to become one of the city’s biggest summer attractions, promising a colourful and engaging experience for all.

Chennai, March 31, 2026: Tamil Nadu IT Hostel Owners Welfare Association raised a serious concerns on whether cooking gas is being hoarded or sold in the black market during a press meet led by its State President A.
