As part of the collaboration, DRA will implement AI across multiple construction functions, including project management, quality inspection, site monitoring, procurement optimisation, workforce productivity, safety analytics and delay prediction. A key feature of the platform is its ability to link quality workflows directly with project schedules, allowing early identification of issues and faster resolution, thereby strengthening overall execution efficiency.
Currently, the platform has been deployed across DRA’s projects in Chennai, covering nearly 3.3 million square feet. It supports close to 2,000 workers at construction sites along with more than 100 technical staff, indicating the scale at which AI is being integrated into day-to-day operations.
One of the standout aspects of the implementation is its real-time multilingual communication capability. This feature is expected to significantly benefit India’s diverse construction workforce by enabling seamless coordination and clear communication across teams speaking different languages, thereby improving on-site collaboration and productivity.
Commenting on the partnership, Ranjeeth Rathod, Managing Director of DRA, said the collaboration represents the beginning of a new phase in residential real estate execution. He emphasised that integrating predictive intelligence and multilingual coordination will help deliver quality homes on time while strengthening long-term value creation.
Echoing similar sentiments, Senthil Kumar, Global Head of AI at Slate Technologies, noted that the construction sector is at a turning point where traditional systems are no longer sufficient to manage rising complexities. He added that the partnership aims to enable faster decision-making, improved predictability and better outcomes for all stakeholders.
The collaboration also signals Slate Technologies’ expansion into the Indian market, highlighting the growing importance of AI-driven solutions in the country’s real estate and construction sectors. For DRA, the adoption of such intelligent systems reflects a broader strategy focused on scalability, governance and future-ready project execution.
