Addressing the gathering, Dr. Sailendra Babu said, “Marathons are commonly organised in Chennai, but it is heartening to see a Cyclothon being conducted on such a large scale for the first time. Cycling offers both mental happiness and physical fitness. Young people should reduce their dependence on motorbikes and take up cycling instead. In many countries, people have the mental strength to cycle continuously for distances of over a thousand kilometres. We too must cultivate such determination.”
The Cyclothon emerged as a pioneering initiative that seamlessly integrated health, environmental conservation, and social inclusion, leaving a strong message for a sustainable and active future.
