District-Level Viksit Bharat Youth Parliament Competition 2026 Fosters Democratic Spirit at Mar Gregories College of Arts & Science, Mogappair West

Chennai, December 19, 2025: Thiruvallur District-Level Viksit Bharat Youth Parliament Competition 2026 was successfully held at Mar Gregories College of Arts and Science, Mogappair West, on 19 December 2025. The event was organised by the college in association with the Government of India, Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, and the NSS Regional Directorate, Chennai.

The competition witnessed vibrant participation, with over 350 students attending the programme and more than 150 student representatives from various colleges across Thiruvallur district actively taking part in the parliamentary proceedings.

The programme began with blessings by Ms. Titty Elizabeth Philips, Director of Academics. The event was graced by eminent dignitaries including Dr. Stanly, Director, ICM, Ministry of Cooperation (Government of India – Retd.), Mr. K. Baskaran, District Judge / Judicial Member (Retd.), Dr. C. Samuel Chelliah, Regional Director, NSS, Tamil Nadu, and Dr. B. Anandan, NSS Coordinator, University of Madras.

The competition served as a meaningful platform for students to engage in democratic dialogue and parliamentary practices. The programme concluded with a Vote of Thanks, marking the successful completion of the event.
