Kauvery Hospital Launches Pioneering Metabolic Wellness Center at 7th Edition of Dishoom Dishoom Diabetes 2025

Chennai, November 16, 2025: Kauvery Hospital, Alwarpet, has launched the Kauvery Metabolic Wellness Centre, a new integrated facility focused on obesity, diabetes, hypertension, and lifestyle-related disorders. The center was inaugurated during the 7th edition of Dishoom Dishoom Diabetes 2025, the hospital’s annual public awareness program.

With India facing over 100 million diabetes cases and rising obesity rates, the centre brings together specialists in diabetology, endocrinology, nutrition, physiotherapy, psychology, and lifestyle medicine. It will provide personalized assessments, structured weight management, and preventive metabolic care.

Inaugurated by Dr. Ishari K. Ganesh, Founder and Chancellor of Vels University, the centre was praised as a significant step toward strengthening preventive healthcare and lifestyle awareness.

Senior Diabetologist Dr. K. Baraneedharan highlighted the need to address metabolic health holistically, noting that obesity, diabetes, and hypertension share common roots. Dishoom Dishoom Diabetes 2025 offered free services such as blood glucose checkups, foot studies, thyroid tests, AI-driven retinopathy screening, dental evaluations, and nutrition counseling—reinforcing Kauvery’s commitment to accessible community health.

Dr. Aravindan Selvaraj, Co-Founder and Executive Director, stated that the initiative continues to be one of the city’s most impactful awareness programs, and the new center strengthens Kauvery’s vision for preventive, holistic care.

Chennai, March 24, 2026: In a landmark advancement for cardiac care in India, Madras Medical Mission (MMM) has successfully performed the country’s first implantation of the Evaheart Left Ventricular Assist Device (LVAD), while also achieving a global first with the implantation of the latest-generation Evaheart 3 model. The breakthrough procedure offers renewed hope for patients suffering from end-stage heart failure with limited treatment options.
