Seek Foundation Donates Ambulances and Tailoring Machines Worth ₹50 Lakhs to Tribal Communities

Chennai, October 30, 2025: In its ongoing mission to empower and uplift tribal communities through sustainable development and welfare initiatives, Seek Foundation, under the leadership of its Founder Dr. Vimala Britto, has donated two ambulances, one load vehicle, and multiple tailoring machines worth over ₹50 lakhs to the tribal communities of Kotagiri and Gudalur.

The donation ceremony was held at St. Britto’s Academy (SBA), Chennai, in the presence of Mr. Alwas, Secretary of the Nilgiris Adhiwasi Welfare Association (NAWA), and Dr. Thomas Ponraj, Chief Executive of Seek Foundation. This initiative marks another milestone in the Foundation’s ongoing commitment to improving healthcare access, livelihood opportunities, and community development in remote tribal regions.

As part of its broader welfare programs, Seek Foundation has previously contributed a fully equipped medical ambulance and supported the construction of 20 houses for tribal families in Gudalur, enhancing both emergency response and living conditions for the local community.

The handover event saw active participation from students of St. Britto’s Academy, along with staff members from Seek Foundation and NAWA, reflecting a shared vision of empowering communities through education, healthcare, and social responsibility.

Speaking at the event, Dr. Vimala Britto remarked: “Every small step we take toward community welfare helps build a stronger and more compassionate society. Our goal is to bring essential services, skills, and dignity to underserved communities.”

The ceremony concluded with heartfelt words of gratitude from tribal beneficiaries and Mr. Alwas, who expressed appreciation for Seek Foundation’s unwavering commitment to improving the lives of tribal families across the Nilgiris district.
