Launch of the First-Ever Kickboxing Super League (KBSL) 2025

Chennai, October 24, 2025: Sportorama, in collaboration with the Tamil Nadu State Amateur Kickboxing Association (TNSKA), proudly announces the launch of the inaugural Kickboxing Super League (KBSL) 2025, taking place at the Kalaignar Boxing Academy, Gopalauram, on October 24th, 25th, and 26th, 2025.

Launch of the First-Ever Kickboxing Super League (KBSL) 2025

This landmark event represents a major leap for Tamil Nadu’s sporting community, introducing a team-based league format that brings the thrill of kickboxing to a wider audience and aims to elevate the sport’s profile across the state. Five dynamic teams will compete in the league, each consisting of 12 elite athletes representing all official weight divisions, ensuring balanced gender representation and exciting matchups across 60 competitors.

  • Salem Superstars – Owned by Ilios Digital
  • Trichy DSU Veerans – Owned by Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan University
  • Adissia Chennai Titans – Owned by Mr. Manigandan, Adissia Developers

The KBSL format has been crafted to highlight the exceptional skill and dedication of Tamil Nadu’s kickboxing athletes, offering spectators structured, team-based excitement while positioning kickboxing as an emerging mainstream professional sport in India.

Honouring Tamil Nadu’s International Champions: As part of the KBSL 2025 festivities, the league will celebrate the state’s recent international achievers:
  • S.L. Rakshathra – 3 Gold Medals, Uzbekistan World Cup 2025 (Tashkent)
  • Ashwin Suresh – 2 Gold Medals & 1 Bronze, Uzbekistan World Cup 2025
  • M. Rahul – Bronze Medal, Uzbekistan World Cup 2025
  • Selvan. Jai Srinivasan – Bronze Medal, 1st Thailand Kickboxing World Cup 2025 (Bangkok)
These athletes will be honoured during the event, celebrating Tamil Nadu’s growing legacy as a powerhouse of Indian kickboxing talent.
