Chennai, 29th September 2025: Meenambakkam lit up as the Iris Face of Tamil Nadu made its grand debut alongside the 14th edition of the iconic Iris Face of Chennai, presented by Dr. Latha A Krishna of Iris Events. The event brought together stars, influencers, and media, creating a night of glamour and celebration.

This year saw an expansion to the state level with auditions across Chennai, Madurai, Trichy, and Coimbatore. Over 4,000 participants vied for a spot, culminating in 48 finalists competing across five categories—Miss, Mr, and Mrs Tamil Nadu, plus the College Edition for students. The finalists underwent a 3-day intensive training covering grooming, fitness, ramp walk, personal branding, and community service, supported by Naturals Academy and fashion experts.

The Grand Finale, held at Radisson Blu GRT, Chennai, featured a spectacular fashion show choreographed by Ms. Suja Suriya Nila, with designs by Shrikriti Studio, Raymond’s, Taneira, and others. Judges included Dr. Andrea, Namitha Marimuthu, Pavithra Laxmi, and Mr. Ramesh Babu, while the event was graced by celebrities like Mr. Babloo Prithveeraj (Chief Guest) and Mr. P.C. Sreeram, who launched the IRIS 2026 Calendar Cover.

A key highlight was the launch of Tube Cast’s official website by Mr. Premji, marking a new milestone in youth entertainment. The night closed with a high-energy ramp walk accompanied by AD and the Band.

Chennai, August 22, 2025 — A recent study by the Insurance Awareness Committee (IAC-Life), conducted in collaboration with Kantar, a market research platform has identified Tamil Nadu as one of the states with a high potential for life insurance penetration. The study underscored the importance of region-specific insights in advancing life insurance penetration. It has presented data that helped understand financial preparedness and life insurance awareness across regions in India.
