Chennai, 11 September 2025 – Kauvery Hospital, one of South India’s leading multispecialty healthcare providers, has launched the “Kauvery Breath Check – Mobile Lung Clinic”, an innovative initiative for the early detection and management of chronic lung diseases. The project, in partnership with the Rotaract Club of Madras North and Bay Forge Pvt Ltd, brings advanced lung screening directly to communities across Chennai and neighbouring districts.

Over the coming weeks, the mobile clinic will visit nearly 20 neighbourhoods, including Porur, Chengalpattu, Kanchipuram, Vellore, and Pondicherry, aiming to reach over 35,000 families by the end of September. With rising respiratory issues due to pollution and delayed diagnosis, this mobile unit offers free screenings for conditions like COPD, Asthma, and post-COVID complications. Services include pulmonary function tests, oxygen checks, consultations with pulmonologists, and smoking cessation counselling, especially targeting high-risk groups.

“This initiative brings critical preventive care closer to the community,” said Dr. Selvi C, Senior Consultant Pulmonologist at Kauvery Hospital Vadapalani.
