Chennai, September 24, 2025 – Baanhem Ventures, the creator of Tamil Nadu’s first mainstream startup reality show Startup Singam, has successfully closed its second round of funding. This round brings on board a stellar lineup of global Tamil business leaders as investors and advisors, reinforcing Startup Singam’s mission to “Simplify Fundraise and Amplify Success Stories.”

In Season 1, Startup Singam catalyzed over INR 40 crore in funding commitments across 35 startups, with 15 already receiving INR 13 crore. The show brought startup ambition into Tamil homes, sparking job creation across sectors like agritech, healthtech, D2C, and SaaS.
For Season 2, the stakes are even higher: INR 100 crore in investor commitments; 75 startups selected from over 2,000 applications; An expanded 26-episode run to highlight founder journeys and investor interactions.
