Chennai, June 9, 2025 – FPAI Chennai, in collaboration with the Tamil Nadu Urban Habitat Development Board, Division VI, marked World Environment Day 2025 with a tree plantation drive at the tenement ground in K.K. Nagar. 

FPAI Chennai Celebrates World Environment Day with Tree Plantation Drive at K.K. Nagar

The event was graced by Executive Engineer Mr.Manivelan and was carried out with the active support and guidance of Chairperson Ms.N. Leelavathy. A total of 10 tree saplings were planted as part of the green initiative.

Local community members also participated enthusiastically, reinforcing the collective commitment to a greener and healthier environment.

Chennai, March 24, 2026: In a landmark advancement for cardiac care in India, Madras Medical Mission (MMM) has successfully performed the country’s first implantation of the Evaheart Left Ventricular Assist Device (LVAD), while also achieving a global first with the implantation of the latest-generation Evaheart 3 model. The breakthrough procedure offers renewed hope for patients suffering from end-stage heart failure with limited treatment options. The procedure was carried out on a 42-year-old man who presented with severe chest pain and breathlessness and was diagnosed with a massive heart attack that caused extensive damage to the heart muscle.
