Chennai, 19 June, 2025: India's Premier International Machine Tools Show, an UFI Approved International event, ACMEE 2025 was today inaugurated by the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, M K Stalin in the presence of the Minister for MSME, Government of Tamil Nadu, T M Anbarasan, at Chennai Trade Centre.

Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises contribute about 30 percent of our Country’s GDP, about 45 percent of the manufactured output and about 46 percent of our Country’s exports. MSMEs provide about 62 percent of our Country’s total employment through 47.6 million MSMEs registered with UDYAM. In recent years the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Sector has consistently registered higher growth rate compared to the overall industrial sector.
Tamil Nadu accounts for the largest number of MSMEs in India (15.07%) with 6.89 lakh registered MSMEs. Tamil Nadu is a leader in Auto parts and components, Pumps and Motors, Readymade Garments, Electronics, Leather and Leather goods.
ACMEE 2025
“We are organising ACMEE 2025 against the back drop of a dynamic business environment which is expected to generate significant interest from the Industry. The exhibition will serve as a vital platform for entrepreneurs and start-ups to explore the latest advancements in machine tools and production technologies from across the globe. It will support the industry’s transition towards smart manufacturing, adoption of intelligent solutions and active participation in the make in India Initiative. ACMEE 2025 will feature live demonstrations, product launches and technical sessions designed to equip MSMEs with insight into latest technologies, said Mr R.S.S. Satish Babu, President, AIEMA
Smart Manufacturing represents the convergence of advanced technologies such as Artificial Intelligence(AI), Robotics, Cyber Security and Industrial Internet of Things(IIoT). These innovations are being seamlessly integrated into manufacturing eco systems drive efficiency through real time data generation, processing and decision making. The focus lies on leveraging information technology to monitor production, automate operations and apply data analytics to enhance overall productivity and precision.
“ACMEE 2025 will have 468 participants over an Exhibition area of 30,000 Sqm across eight halls and will feature 120 international brands. We expect around 35,000+ visitors from across India and neighbouring countries. ACMEE 2025 is expected to generate business worth Rs 750 crore,” said Mr. P.S. Ramesh, Chairman, ACMEE 2025
Concurrently an Automation & Robotics Technology Show - ARTECH 2025 is also being organised. There will also be an International Conference on Automation and Robotics to be held on 20 and 21 June 2025, which will be a first in ACMEE.
A Finance Lounge will be set up to help businesses obtain finance for their purchases at the event. Several major financial Institutions are participating.
