Rotary Club of Madras Chenna Patna felicitates young achievers


Chennai, 30th December 2021: Rotary Club of Madras Chenna Patna felicitated Dronacharya Awardee 2021 for Table Tennis S. Raman along with four young achievers at a grand function held here recently. This year, the Club selected four outstanding sports persons, all in the age group of 6 - 17 representing billiards, chess, cycling and table tennis. They earned laurels not only for their country, but also in the international arena.

The first foremost among them is Anupama Ramachandran, 17 years, National billiards champion, Praggnanandaa (16 years) Young GrandMaster Chess, Preyesh Suresh Raj (15 years) Table Tennis champion and Rian Mishra (6-year-old) cycling champion.

 

Former Tamil Nadu Additional Chief Secretary, PWC Davidar, who is also a boxing champion, participated as the chief guest and felicitated the awardees by handing over the trophies and citation.

The presentation was preceded by a small video message highlighting the achievements of the awardees and congratulatory messages from their gurus.

 

For the last few years, RCMCP has been recognising and honouring young achievers and successful persons be it in sports or business. Interestingly, this year, Raman and his disciple Preyesh Suresh Raj shared the dias.
