8-Year-Old Raise Awareness about Plastic Pollution and Rescue Of Bees with Art:
Chennai, Jan 26, 2021:
8 year old artist Ahana Rhea Berkin is working on a live art installation called “Beeconscious”. This be one of a kind art display and the first ever art installation by a 8 year old artist. The event was on the 26th of January 2021, 5 pm onwards at the Marina Mall, Chennai. The installation showcased a bee hive made out of plastic bottle caps and all forms of plastic that a household generates.

The aim of the installation is to create awareness about the excessive usage of single use plastics; and preservation and rescue of bees to save the world.

Ahana is a self-taught artist, DIY enthusiast and is absolutely passionate about everything pertaining to art. Her interests include painting with all mediums. She firmly believes in sustainable living and practices and promotes it in her daily life. As a result she loves to create art out of every day materials and believes in the concept of trash to treasure.
In the month of December 2020 Ahana embarked on her maiden entrepreneurial venture by selling hand painted coasters. She also celebrated an eco-friendly Christmas by creating eco-friendly Christmas ornaments out of newspapers.

She has an Instagram page to her credit called @art_tastic_me where in all her art work has been showcased. She also has illustrated for a children’s story book which is currently under the process of being published.
Her favourite artist is Frieda Kahlo and hopes someday to be the next Frieda Kahlo!!!!
