This year's Chennai edition also introduced remarkable women who will serve as the city's Pinkathon mascots. Babywearing mother Zoha Sanofer, cancer survivor Nandita Muralidhar, visually impaired runner Gaytheri M., 65-year-old marathoner Geetha Manichandar, working professional Deborah Sushma Lall and ultra-runner Latha Ravichander each represent courage, resilience and determination, proving that fitness has no barriers.

Speaking during the launch, Founder Milind Soman said Chennai's return after seven years is a special milestone, adding that when women unite through fitness, they inspire positive change within their families and communities. Co-founder Ankita Konwar encouraged women to begin their fitness journey, reminding everyone that every step forward is a victory, whether it's a first 3 km run or an ultra-distance challenge.

A key highlight of this year's event is "The Easiest Exam" campaign, which promotes regular three-minute monthly self-breast examinations to encourage early detection of breast cancer. Dr. Sharvil Patel, Managing Director of Zydus Lifesciences, emphasised that awareness and early detection can save countless lives and empower women to take charge of their health.

Adding to the vibrant atmosphere, the Chennai edition will feature young mothers running with their babies, breast cancer survivors, visually impaired runners and women proudly participating in sarees, reflecting the city's inclusive spirit and Pinkathon's belief that every woman deserves the opportunity to embrace fitness.

Supported by Zydus along with Lifelong, Sirona, Hyatt Regency Chennai, Fujifilm, Bisleri, Zivame, Tasty Nibbles, Sports Authority of India (SAI), Fit India and several wellness partners, the event promises to be much more than a marathon. It is a movement that celebrates strength, confidence, preventive healthcare and the limitless potential of women.
