Loyola College Alumni Chennai Chapter Unveils Year-Long Impact Programme at Annual Meet 2026

Chennai, March 14, 2026:.The Loyola Alumni Association — Chennai Chapter (LAA CC), the largest chapter of the alumni network of Loyola College Chennai, hosted its Annual Chapter Meet 2026 with an impressive gathering of Loyolites from across generations. The event marked the unveiling of a comprehensive year-long programme designed to strengthen alumni engagement, support student mentorship, and create a meaningful impact within the community.

The occasion was attended by distinguished guests including Palanivel Thiaga Rajan, Minister for IT & Digital Services, Government of Tamil Nadu; Sujith Kumar, Founder of Maatram Foundation; and Mohan Raman, acclaimed actor, writer, and film historian. The speakers shared reflections on education, mentorship, and the importance of strong alumni communities in shaping future leaders.

A key highlight of the evening was the launch of LAA CC’s structured annual activity calendar, centred around three major initiatives: partnering with the Loyola Inclusive Innovation Impact Centre (L3IC) — the college’s startup and incubation hub — to leverage alumni expertise in supporting student entrepreneurs; facilitating internships and externships for Loyola students; and organising exclusive job fairs for alumni.

Speaking on the occasion, Karthik Sabanayagam, President of LAA CC and Founder & Managing Director of Sree Sumangala Group, emphasised that the Chennai Chapter continues to bring Loyolites together through meaningful programmes and shared experiences, encouraging alumni participation throughout the year.

Rev. Dr. A. Louie Albert, Director of the Loyola Alumni Association, noted that the alumni network has always played a vital role in the life of the institution and that such initiatives help strengthen collaboration between alumni, students, and the wider community.

With the new calendar of initiatives in place, LAA CC reaffirmed its commitment to building a vibrant and purpose-driven alumni community that connects generations of Loyolites not only in celebration, but also in collaboration and service.
