Blue Star Unveils New Range of Unitary Cooling Products to Power Next Phase of Growth

Chennai: Blue Star Limited has launched a comprehensive new range of Unitary Cooling products, including an extensive portfolio of Room Air Conditioners for Summer 2026, aimed at strengthening its presence across residential and commercial cooling segments. The company’s latest lineup features 125 models of room ACs, including a premium flagship range, all compliant with the Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) standards that came into effect on January 1, 2026.

The portfolio includes inverter, fixed-speed, and window ACs designed to meet diverse consumer needs across multiple price points. A key highlight is the premium ‘Iconia’ range in a Midnight Silver finish. The company has also introduced specialised categories such as Super Energy-Efficient ACs with Dynamic Drive Technology, Heavy-Duty ACs capable of delivering optimal cooling even at temperatures up to 56°C, Hot & Cold ACs designed for year-round comfort across extreme climates, and Anti-Virus Technology ACs that enhance indoor air quality.

Nearly 50 models in the range are Smart WiFi-enabled with features such as AI-driven adaptive cooling, voice command functionality, customised sleep modes and energy management systems. The ACs also incorporate advanced filtration technologies, convertible cooling modes, DigiQ Octa Sensors and Nano BluProtect technology for improved durability.

To support growing demand, Blue Star has strengthened its manufacturing footprint with a production capacity of around 1.4 million units, scalable to 1.8 million units. The company operates a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility at Sri City in Andhra Pradesh and two plants in Himachal Pradesh, equipped with advanced automation, IoT integration and digitalised production systems.

Alongside residential cooling products, Blue Star offers a comprehensive range of commercial refrigeration solutions including deep freezers, visi coolers, cold rooms, supermarket refrigeration systems, kitchen refrigeration equipment and healthcare refrigeration products. These solutions cater to industries such as food retail, dairy, quick service restaurants, pharmaceuticals and healthcare.

With a distribution network spanning over 900 towns and more than 10,000 retail outlets, supported by over 2,100 service partners under its Gold Standard Service programme, Blue Star continues to strengthen its nationwide presence.

Speaking at a press conference in Chennai, B Thiagarajan, Managing Director of Blue Star Limited, said India’s cooling demand is entering a high-growth phase driven by rising incomes, urbanisation and increasing climate intensity. He noted that nearly 150 million households in India are expected to be able to afford air conditioners in the future, creating significant headroom for growth. He added that Blue Star’s expanded Unitary Cooling portfolio positions the company strongly to capitalise on rising demand across both residential and commercial markets.
