SalarySe Partners with City Union Bank to Launch India’s First Credit Card for Salaried Employees; Offers 37.5% Salary Day Bonus Reward Feature

December 8, 2025: SalarySe, India’s leading salary-powered financial wellbeing platform, has partnered with City Union Bank to launch the Level Up Credit Card, the country’s first credit card built exclusively for salaried professionals and enabled by Credit on UPI. Designed to align with the Reserve Bank of India’s push for a cashless economy, the card rewards everyday transactions—from UPI payments and online spends to monthly essentials and in-store purchases.

A key highlight is India’s first “Salary Day Bonus”, offering up to 37.5% rewards on salary disbursement days, allowing users to maximise returns on essential spending that aligns with their monthly pay cycle. With employer-linked payroll verification, the card ensures disciplined and seamless access to credit within the UPI ecosystem—unlike traditional cards that reward only select categories.

Commenting on the launch, Mohit Gorisariya, Co-founder, SalarySe, said the product is designed to empower India’s salaried workforce through fair rewards, responsible credit access, and lifestyle benefits such as lounge access and low forex markup.

Vijay Anandh R, Executive Director, City Union Bank, highlighted that the collaboration supports disciplined, digital-first credit adoption for a segment central to India’s consumption economy.

Nalin Bansal, Chief of Fintech, NPCI, noted that the co-branded Credit-on-UPI card marks a significant step in India’s digital payments evolution, addressing real consumer needs with responsible innovation.
