Indian Navy Half Marathon Chennai 2025 happening on Dec 14; Race Day T-Shirt Unveiled
Chennai, 4 November 2025: The Indian Navy today unveiled the official Race Day T-shirt for the first-ever Indian Navy Half Marathon, Chennai, presented by Bank of Baroda and powered by Indian Oil Corporation Ltd. The event is scheduled for 14 December 2025 in Chennai.

The unveiling ceremony was attended by Commodore Suvarat Magon, Naval Officer-in-Charge (Tamil Nadu & Puducherry Naval Area); Mr. T. N. The maiden edition aims to promote three key causes — a Drug-Free India, Women Adishakti Power, and a stand against online betting and gambling — symbolizing the nation’s strength, unity, and resilience. The run celebrates camaraderie between civilians and Defence personnel, reflecting discipline, pride, and the spirit of national service.
Commodore Suvarat Magon said, “The Indian Navy Chennai Half Marathon is more than a race — it’s a movement for fitness, pride, and purpose. Running alongside the Navy gives citizens a glimpse into the spirit of service and unity. Through this initiative, we aim to inspire every runner to become a messenger of positive change.”
Highlighting Bank of Baroda’s partnership, Mr. T. N. Suresh shared, “We are honoured to associate with the Indian Navy for an event that blends purpose with participation. The Navy Half Marathon stands for health, unity, and a Drug-Free India — values we are proud to support.”
Dr. Iyappan Ponnuswamy added, “As Medical Partner, Kauvery Hospital is committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of every participant. This collaboration salutes the shared values of endurance, discipline, and service.”
Mr. Nagraj Adiga remarked, “The unveiling sets the tone for the exciting race weeks ahead. The event unites the Navy and the public in a celebration of endurance and purpose.” The Indian Navy Half Marathon Chennai 2025 will feature three race categories: Adyar Half Marathon Run (21.1 km); 10KM INS Parundu Run; 5KM INS Pallava Run
