Erbe Elektromedizin GmbH Unveils VIO® seal – The First VIO® Generator Fully Dedicated to Bipolar Applications

Chennai, 10th October 2025 – Erbe Elektromedizin GmbH has introduced the VIO® seal, the latest addition to its VIO® 3 family of electrosurgical generators. Unveiled at IASGCON 2025 in Chennai by Dr. C. Palanivelu, Chairman of GEM Hospital, the VIO® seal is the first Erbe generator fully dedicated to bipolar applications, offering advanced vessel sealing and dissection technology tailored for various medical specialties.

Designed for versatile performance, the stand-alone VIO® seal works seamlessly with standard bipolar instruments, the TriSect Rapide® dissector, and Erbe’s proven BiClamp® vessel sealing technology. It features mode-specific energy delivery—thermoSECT, biCLAMP®, and thermoSEAL®—to ensure precision and reproducible outcomes across tissue types.

The VIO® seal also enables simultaneous bipolar activation when paired with another VIO® generator, streamlining surgical workflows and supporting co-surgeon techniques for greater efficiency.
