Chennai, 14 June 2025: In an endeavour to empower poor and people with movement disability in their journey from dependence to independence, Adinath Jain Trust, Choolai, Chennai, organised a camp today for distributing free prosthetic mobility aids worth Rs. 30 lakhs to 600 beneficiaries.

Mr. P.K. Sekar Babu, Honble Minister for Hindu Religious & Charitable Endowments, Govt. of TN was the chief guest for the camp and distributed various accessories and equipments including free modular & artificial limbs, Clutches, tricycles, wheelchairs, glasses, hearing aids and walking supporters to the beneficiaries. Other special guests who were present at the event were Sri Rajeshji Jain, Sri Dhanrajji Kocher, Sri Sanghavi Milapchandji Jain, Sri Prakashji Gulecha, Sri Javarlalji Darda, Sri Ajitji Choradia, Sri Ashokji Chovatia, Sri Sureshji Jain, Sri Hareshji Jain.

Speaking on the occasion, the Secretary of Adinath Jain Trust, Dr. Mohan Jain, said, These grants are distributed to the poor and differently abled, with the support of Ranulalji, Devrajji, Prakashji Gulecha. With a motto of creating and nurturing for the differently abled, we at Adinath Jain Trust have been organising periodical screening and distribution camps for providing artificial prosthetic mobility aids to people with movement disabilities for 46 years now. 

So far, we have benefitted over 14.5 lakh people and with todays camp, we have transformed the lives of 600 more! Our actions stem from our strong belief that with such prosthetic mobility aids, not only will their quality of lives improve, but their confidence and social standing in the society will be elevated to the next level. Furthermore, this will help them seek right employment opportunities that will reduce their dependence on the family members, increase their savings and eventually make their future hopeful, sans the social stigma.

During the event, the trustees of Adinath Jain Trust honoured the Doctors from several esteemed Hospitals, including Apollo First Med Hospitals, Apollo Hospitals, Aysha Hospital, Aditya Hospital, Billroth Hospital, Lifeline Multi-speciality Hospital, Premier Health Center, VS Hospitals, Bohra Eye Clinic, VHS Hospital, SRM Hospitals, Aarti Scans, and Med Vision Eye Hospital in recognition of their continued support.
