Chennai, Sept 26, 2021: Rotary Club of Anna Nagar Madras in association with Apollo Specialty Hospitals Vanagaram today organised Cardiac Screening Camp coinciding with World Heart Day at DG Vaishnav College, Arumbakkam.

The Screening camp was attended by Rtn J.Sridhar, District Governor; Rtn.Renu Sawlani, President; Rtn.Harikrishnan, District Secretary; Rtn.Lekha Venugopal, Secretary, Rtn.PP.Vrinda Deepak, Director Health Comments Service; Rtn. Dr.Harikrishnan, Sr.Consultant Interventional Cardiologist, Apollo Speciality Hospital Vanagaram.

On this occasion, a Health Mobile bus was also used for screening of rural people. The mobile unit has Consultant room, X-ray, Mammography rooms.

The breakthrough procedure offers renewed hope for patients suffering from end-stage heart failure with limited treatment options. The procedure was carried out on a 42-year-old man who presented with severe chest pain and breathlessness and was diagnosed with a massive heart attack that caused extensive damage to the heart muscle.
