Tesla India Expands South India Presence with Chennai Experience Centre and Poonamallee Collision Centre

Chennai, September 25, 2026: Tesla India has expanded its presence in South India with the opening of its first Tesla Experience Center in Chennai, located at Express Avenue Mall, offering customers across Chennai and Tamil Nadu convenient access to vehicle experiences, orders, test drives, deliveries and after-sales support. The company has also made a Tesla-Approved Collision Center and service capabilities available in Poonamallee, strengthening its ownership support network in the region. 

The facilities are designed to provide local consultation, test drives and delivery assistance, along with professional collision repair and body work carried out to Tesla standards. Customers can also access genuine Tesla parts, approved repair processes, professionally trained technicians and software-aware diagnostics, helping maintain vehicle safety, performance and resale value while reducing downtime. 

Tesla’s 2026 Model Y Premium Rear-Wheel Drive offers 2,138 litres of storage space, seating for up to five passengers and power-folding seats. It accelerates from 0–100 km/h in 5.9 seconds and offers a range of up to 500 km WLTP. The model is priced at ₹50.89 lakh, with a ₹6 lakh down payment and EMI starting at ₹39,990 per month. 

Customers can also experience the Model Y L, an All-Wheel Drive SUV with a three-row, six-seat configuration, up to 681 km WLTP range, 0–100 km/h acceleration in 5 seconds and cargo capacity of up to 2,539 litres. It starts at ₹61.99 lakh, with a ₹6.5 lakh down payment and EMI from ₹49,990 per month. 

Both models receive new capabilities and features through Over-The-Air updates, including access to Grok, Tesla’s intelligent AI assistant, available in Indian languages including Tamil, Hindi, Marathi, Gujarati, Telugu and Kannada.
