Wagg n Dine Launches Fresh Human-Grade Pet Meals Cloud Kitchen
Chennai, March 25: Wagg n Dine, a cloud kitchen dedicated to preparing fresh, human-grade meals for pets, was officially launched in Chennai at Taj Connemara. The brand aims to redefine pet nutrition by offering freshly cooked meals for dogs, made using natural ingredients and delivered directly to customers’ doorsteps as a healthier alternative to conventional processed pet food.
The launch comes amid strong growth in India’s pet care industry, which is expanding at over 20%, with the pet cloud kitchen segment witnessing a surge driven by premiumisation and the increasing humanisation of pet diets. With rising pet ownership in urban centres, more pet parents are prioritising nutrition and opting for fresh, minimally processed food options for their animals.

Operating as a specialised cloud kitchen, Wagg n Dine prepares meals daily in a dedicated human-grade facility using fresh chicken, purified RO water, and carefully sourced ingredients. The service is designed to provide convenient, ready-to-serve meals while maintaining high standards of quality and hygiene.
Speaking at the launch, founder Manivannan highlighted the evolving mindset of Indian pet owners. “India’s pet care landscape is undergoing a fundamental shift—from just ‘feeding pets’ to ‘nourishing family members’. With premium segments growing rapidly, we see a clear shift towards fresh, human-grade nutrition. At Wagg n Dine, we believe the next wave of growth will be led by cloud kitchens for pets, bringing convenience, customisation, and clean-label meals to urban pet parents,” he said.
The concept behind Wagg n Dine emerged from a simple yet powerful observation: while people are increasingly conscious about consuming fresh and wholesome food themselves, pets are often fed processed meals daily without much thought. This realisation led the founders to create a brand that brings the same level of care and quality to pet food as human meals.
Culinary expert and Padma Shri awardee Chef Damu, who also holds a Guinness World Record for the longest cooking marathon by an individual, attended the launch and underscored the importance of mindful pet nutrition. “We are careful about what we eat every day, but often overlook what we feed our pets. Wagg n Dine addresses that gap by offering fresh, human-grade meals made with real ingredients,” he noted.
Prior to its official launch, Wagg n Dine conducted trials with a select group of pet owners. The company reported positive feedback from both pets and their owners, which helped refine recipes and optimise the preparation process ahead of its market debut.
