Chennai, May 24, 2025: Chennais Amirta Aviation campus was abuzz with excitement as celebrity guest Actress Anitha Sampath , the renowned media personality, TV anchor visited the premises for the Grand Fashion walk event FASHIONISTA 2025 by students of Chennais Amirta Aviation College. She was visibly impressed by the campus infrastructure, particularly the Mini Aircraft, and the realistic airport setup, which included check-in counters and a model aircraft, that replicates a true-to-life airport experience. 

Chennais Amirta Aviation College Students perform Grand Fashion Event - FLYING FASHIONISTA 2025

Adding flair to the event, students dressed in cabin crew uniforms made a grand entrance by stepping out of the model aircraft and walking the ramp in a stylish fashion parade. Their performance was met with applause and admiration from the audience. Along with celebrity guest Anitha Sampath, Thomas Raj, International Model & Beauty Pageantry Coach, Mr. International Title Winner, CEO/Founder of Purple Fashion Week, and Miss Amruth, Miss Pearl Icon of India 2025, Miss South India 2025 were other distinguished panel of judges.

Anitha Sampath along with the panel of judges , had the honor of selecting the winning team , out of the four participating groups. She presented them with a memento , and ensured that every participant was honored with medals, recognizing their enthusiasm and effort.

Chennai, March 31, 2026: Tamil Nadu IT Hostel Owners Welfare Association raised a serious concerns on whether cooking gas is being hoarded or sold in the black market during a press meet led by its State President A. Seetharaman along with other office bearers.  During the press meet, Seetharaman outlined what actions the Central and State Governments should take. He also said that more than 20,000 men’s, women’s, and student hostels operating across Tamil Nadu are facing severe difficulties due to an acute shortage of cooking gas. The livelihoods of over 2 lakh employees working in these hostels have been directly affected.
