He said this is a significant milestone in the corporate journey of Kritilabs and it has been achieved by the tremendous efforts of the entire team of Kritilabs Technologies. He added that this Center of Excellence will serve as a hub for research, collaboration, and talent development, enabling Kritilabs to work closely with partners, academia, and industry leaders to push the boundaries of what AI can achieve. He also recounted the multitude of awards and recognition won by Kritilabs including the awards from FICCI, CII (National AI Award), Nasscom, TiE Chennai, AIMO, Intel and the awards won in national level challenges like Onion mgmt. as well as Barrier-less tolling. He added that Kritilabs has been pioneering many IP’s with 9 global patents granted and several process and product certifications for the devices as well as for the organization.
Dr.L.N.Rajaram, Co-founder and CTO of Kritilabs technologies said that Kritilabs is unique in its AI backed analytics as it not only has sensors that collect data in real time but provides for analysing this data to take immediate decisions. Most other Data Analytics efforts go into analysing stored data post-facto and not in real time. For example in the world of Fintech, data has already been collected and analysed later for getting insights into customer behavior, risks, etc. Kritilabs collects data in real time through the sensors that it has designed and manufactured. This data is analysed in real time and decisions made to put into action to ensure smooth business operations. Kritilabs has several devices in its portfolios. The latest and most powerful of the devices is the Camera that sense the environment in its vicinity and send across images and videos in real time for processing.
He also elaborated the market size for cameras. While India has 1.5 million CCTV cameras in 15 cities, the US has 50 million and China 200m as of 2023 data. Every camera is extending our eyesight to much larger reach and provides us with images of what is happening remotely. We process the image that we see in our brains in real time and quickly conclude whether the situation around us is normal or there is something wrong. The video feeds from remote cameras extend our range to extraordinary levels. As our brains while extremely intelligent to make sense of what we see, it cannot handle several such images at the same time. This what AI based Video Analytics helps us by not only recording the scenes in remote places but also processing and providing us with insights into what is happening.
He added that “Our dream is to capture the contextual situations in any remote place through the help of several remote cameras installed. The applications for example are detecting and preventing stampede like situations in public places or ensuring there are no glitches in the manufacturing process or no traffic violations go undetected and so on. He said that this centre will work towards this kind of developing AI based Data and Video Analytics solutions that will help our country, our people, our business and Government.
Mr.Srikrishna, CEO and Co-founder of kritilabs technologies talked about the initial efforts in ideating and orchestrating the product suite as well as the unique device-as-a-service model (DAAS model). He also added that “With our AI hardware and AI models, we look forward to introducing newer AI solutions across industries including Oil & Gas, e-Commerce & Logistics, Government & Utilities. We are confident that the AI & Analytics Centre of Excellence will help KritiLabs create solutions that add tremendous value and are at the core of the digital transformation journey of our clients.”.
Expressing his delight on inaugurating the new office, the Chief Guest Mr.V.Shankar, Founder of CAMS, applauded the founders Mr.Srikrishna and Dr.L.N.Rajaram on the conceptualization and rapid growth of Kritilabs over the years. He also added that “It is great to see that new technologies are getting created out of India for a much larger global market.
