Kattankulathur, November 15, 2024: The 20th Convocation 2024 of SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRMIST) was held on 15th November 2024 at its premises in Kattankulathur. Prof. Mahesh Chandra Misra, Chairman, Board of Centre for Accreditation of Health & Social Care (CAHSC), "ATLS INDIA CHAIR" and Former Director, All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi was the Chief Guest.

About 10,848 students belonging to the Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Faculty of Science and Humanities, Faculty of Medicine & Health Science, Faculty of Management, Faculty of Law, and Faculty of Agricultural Sciences, Directorate of Online and Distance Education studies including 238 Ph.D. scholars received their degrees in various disciplines. 207 students were awarded medals for having secured First, Second and Third rank in their courses.

Endowment award in the name of Tmt. Pachimmal Palanimuthu award for the best outgoing MBBS student, Tmt. Swarnam & Dr. Krishnamoorthy award for the best outgoing MBBS student and Tmt. Lakshmi and Dr. Renganathan Medal for the best outgoing BDS student of SRM Medical College Hospital & Research Centre were awarded on the occasion.
The Annual report was presented by Vice Chancellor of SRMIST, Dr. C. Muthamizhchelvan. Founder Chancellor of SRMIST, Dr. T. R. Paarivendhar presided the function. The Convocation was held in the presence of SRMIST's Pro Chancellor (Administration) Dr. Ravi Pachamuthu, Pro Chancellor (Academic) Dr. P. Sathyanarayanan among others.
