Chennai Equitation Centre's award winning Competition Team achieves outstanding success


  • Actor Karthi Sivakumar honoured the young athletes at the Chennai Equitation Centre.
Chennai, April 17, 2024: The Competition-Team at the Chennai Equitation Centre comprising of 10 young athletes (10 - 20 years old) have achieved an outstanding success and making a mark as one of India's most successful Equestrian Team in the 2023/24 season.

The riders from Chennai (CEC) returned with 14 Medals from the Junior National Championships in Bangalore, as well as winning all the Golds in all the Medal Categories of the Senior Nationals in Dressage beginning of 2024.

Even on an international Level the young horse-riders have achieved glories with the winning Team in the international FEI World Dressage Challenge 2023 as a winning Team in the Zone against Malaysia, Indonesia and Singapore, and also taking away the top ranks in the country in 4 out of 5 categories.
Numerous Championships like the Chennai Police Equestrian Championship, the Hindustan Championship, DreamAlliance as well as the Equestrian Premier League have been some of the greatest milestones for the Team cementing their strength in competing consistently at the highest level.

Isabel, from the Chennai Equitation Centre, stated, "It's been an amazing journey. Our riders have shown incredible talent, dedication, and resilience, and their achievements speak volumes about their hard work. We're super proud of them and excited for what's next. We'd also like to thank actor Karthik for extending his presence to our event, in turn, taking the success of our riders to a bigger audience of the public. We're grateful for this and excited for what it means for our future!"

With greater ambitions for international competitions like the Asian Games and Olympics we want to encourage these young athletes who are at the forefront of the country's Equestrian performance, making Tamil Nadu a proud center of this sport.
