Indian Basketball Federation to hold 3X3 Senior National Championship 2023 in Chennai from Sep 22-24
Chennai: The Nehru Indoor Basketball stadium is fully set for the 3rd 3x3 Senior National Championship of both the Men and Women’s Category from 22nd to 24th September 2023 at Namma Chennai, Tamil Nadu.

The Game is a single period of 10 minutes. The winner is the first team to score 21 points or the team with the highest score at the end of 10 minutes. The 3rd 3x3 Senior National Championship will witness 56 teams, consisting of 224 Best players all across the country.

This 3rd 3x3 Senior National Championship is qualification event for 37th National Games 2023 scheduled to be held at Goa from 23rd – 28th October 2023. The final seven teams will qualify for the 37th National Games in the 3x3 Category in both men and women, while the host team will be the eighth team.
Basketball players from all over the country will put their skills to the test as they battle it out for the top honors. The game will be played under FIBA 3x3 Rules and will be witnessed by over 8,000 spectators.
All the Presidents and General Secretary of Affiliated Units of Basketball Federation of India are invited to witness this Spectacular event. Mr. Aadhav Arjuna the President of the Basketball Federation of India (BFI) welcomes all the fans of basketball across the nation.
This event is organized by Tamil Nadu Basketball of India (TNBA) under the aegis of the Basketball Federation of India (BFI) are fully committed to be provided with the best playing conditions for the participants, including air-conditioned accommodation, transportation, and food on par with international standards.
The top three in each category will receive medals, certificates, and prize money. The First place is to be awarded a prize money of INR 3 Lakhs, the second place is to be awarded a prize money of INR 2 Lakhs, and the third place is to receive a prize money of INR 1 Lakh. The Winner team in the Men Section will book their tickets for the FIBA Tour Challengers to be held in Goa in the month of October 2023.
As the Host the Tamil Nadu Basketball Association (TNBA) is adding more excitement to the event by organizing lucky draws. The winners will be awarded a bicycle and souvenirs. The event will also feature live music, dance performances, DJ sets, and various other performances from different parts of the country.
The event is to have its preliminary round on day one 22nd September 2023 followed by Pre Quarterfinals and Quarterfinals on 23rd September 2023 and Semi Finals & Finals with the closing ceremony on 24th September 2023. The TNBA aims to make this event a spectacular one for all basketball fans.
Mr.Aadhav Arjuna, President of Basketball Federation of India also said that the Indian Basketball Federation has coordinated the matches from today to the 24th in collaboration with the Tamil Nadu Basketball Association. He said that by creating adequate structures to win medals in competitions including Olympics, we can create better players by creating academies and developing players and we are looking for players for 3×3 competition from villages to all places.
