Chennai, June 21st, 2023: Rooted in tradition and invested in the future, NAC Jewellers, one of the leading family jewellery stores in South India, celebrates its 50th anniversary this year. Marking the occasion, NAC Jewellers paid homage to their founder, the late Shri N. Anjaneyulu Chetty, contributing to charitable causes through donations from the Anandam Foundation, and launching a Golden Week of celebrations for long-time patrons.

Five decades since its inception by the founder, the late Shri N. Anjaneyulu Chetty, NAC Jewellers has transformed into a group of well-known stores across South India, showcasing an exclusive range of traditional and contemporary fine jewellery, designed and crafted by artisans for a loyal clientele from all over. A visionary in the true sense of the word, he had been instrumental in laying the foundation and building the future of NAC Jewellers, with an unwavering focus on providing the finest service to customers, adhering to all the values he believed in.

In honour of his legacy, NAC Jewellers unveiled a bust of the late Shri N. Anjaneyulu Chetty today at the store in Mylapore, Chennai. Shri K Doraisami, Senior Advocate graced the occasion as the chief guest along with Dr. Shri Ishari K. Ganesh, Founder & Chancellor - Vels University & Chairman - Vels Group of Institutions, as the guest of honour, accompanied by Anantha Padmanabhan, Chairman - NAC Jewellers, and Anantha Ramanujam and Arjun Varadaraj, Executive Directors - NAC Jewellers. The store in Mylapore was selected for the occasion owing to its significance as the first NAC Jewellers outlet, signalling the point where the journey began. 

NAC Jewellers will also be contributing to charitable causes with a donation of INR 50 lakhs, including a donation of INR 5 lakhs to the Adyar Cancer Institute in Chennai, INR 5 Lakhs to Sankara Nethralaya and the remaining INR 40 lakhs will be distributed to worthy organizations over the course of this year.

As part of the 50th anniversary celebrations, NAC Jewellers will host the Golden Week from July 1st to 8th featuring exciting activities and games across all stores. Long-time patrons would be rewarded through a loyalty program featuring exclusive offers and gifts. 

Looking to the journey ahead, NAC Jewellers has launched the Maharani Collection, a signature range inspired by legendary queens from India’s history, featuring the Polki, Jadau, Victorian and Kemp jewellery styles. Additionally, the brand will also make a comeback to the United States after a decade with an exhibition tour covering major cities.
