JCI India Launches Clean Plate Challenge To Create Awareness on Zero Food Wastage; Day 11/12/13 Update

Day 11/12/13 Updates: JCI Hosur Lake City, as part of JCI India has launched CLEAN PLATE CHALLEGE 2023 which aims to ensure Zero Food Wastage. JC Balaganesh (Bali), a Nature Photographer Traveller along with Dr.Ranjani Rao, Honorary Member, Author-cum-Traveller of JCI Hosur Lake City are spearheading this noble initiative. The team is planning to visit 28 States covering 18,000 kms in 80 days meeting young school and college students across the country.

As part of this initiative, here is an update on Clean plate awareness campaign - a joint initiative of Zone XVI and JCI Hosur Lake City. 

Day 11, 12 and 13, 28th February, 1st and 2nd March

Promoted clean plate awareness in 3 institutions today as below. 

  1. Newtech high school
  2. Raipur University
  3. Shaswath hospital

Also promoted the same in the hotel stayed, fuel stations and tea shops/hotels during the trip.

Chennai, March 24, 2026: In a landmark advancement for cardiac care in India, Madras Medical Mission (MMM) has successfully performed the country’s first implantation of the Evaheart Left Ventricular Assist Device (LVAD), while also achieving a global first with the implantation of the latest-generation Evaheart 3 model. The breakthrough procedure offers renewed hope for patients suffering from end-stage heart failure with limited treatment options. The procedure was carried out on a 42-year-old man who presented with severe chest pain and breathlessness and was diagnosed with a massive heart attack that caused extensive damage to the heart muscle. Chennai, March 31, 2026: Tamil Nadu IT Hostel Owners Welfare Association raised a serious concerns on whether cooking gas is being hoarded or sold in the black market during a press meet led by its State President A. Seetharaman along with other office bearers.  During the press meet, Seetharaman outlined what actions the Central and State Governments should take. He also said that more than 20,000 men’s, women’s, and student hostels operating across Tamil Nadu are facing severe difficulties due to an acute shortage of cooking gas.
