Chennai, March 31, 2026: Tamil Nadu IT Hostel Owners Welfare Association raised a serious concerns on whether cooking gas is being hoarded or sold in the black market during a press meet led by its State President A. Seetharaman along with other office bearers. During the press meet, Seetharaman outlined what actions the Central and State Governments should take. He also said that more than 20,000 men’s, women’s, and student hostels operating across Tamil Nadu are facing severe difficulties due to an acute shortage of cooking gas. The livelihoods of over 2 lakh employees working in these hostels have been directly affected.
