Shero Awards 2022 presented to Women making difference in their lives through Shero Home Food

Shero home food is the world's  first ever branded Home Food platform. Initiated in August 2020, from chennai. With Shero, now 500+ Home Makers, across South India, are cooking and earning just from their Kitchen every single week.

Shero Awards is distinctive and has a beautiful story behind it. Its always said that “Nala saapadu senja kaiku thanga valayal podalam” - The Shero Icon represents the same. And we are in a society where cooking is not part of a prestigious profession irrespective of the gender though we all love to explore food. Its always looked down or unaccepted. In order to change that, the most used and important equipment of the kitchen is designed part of the award. 

When it comes to awards, its always based on the skills that an individual owns and when they excel in a particular field, then the necessary award has been give. But at Shero, Shero is the one who teaches and trains the kitchen partner in the culinary skills and also teaches about how to do a business, the entrepreneurial skills. The Shero Award was held in Lady Andal School Auditorium, Chetpet, chennai on september 3rd, 2022. The event was attended by government officials, TV and Film Industry professionals and Business people of various industries. The event had a footfall of about 1000 - 1200. 500+ Kitchen partners and families from various parts of South India attended the event. The highlight of the show was only the home makers. Shero ensured the same.

Mrs. Radhika Sharath Kumar said that she was very grateful for being invited to such a prestigious event.  She shared the stage with her bestie Mrs. Suhasini Manirathnam. She even mentioned that they are friends for 42 years and Mrs. Suhasini is one of the most patient person she has ever seen. She also mentioned that she lacks that patience and she always admires her friend for that quality. While speaking about Sheros, she mentioned that artists like her receiving Awards isn't a great thing but every unsung heroes of the house hold has to be recognized and She was happy that Sheros made it possible. 

Following Mrs. Radhika Mrs. Suhasini told that Radhika was her guru in film Industry. She has learnt a lot from her all these years. She also shared the secret of them looking young at their age and she told the reason behind it is because they get the opportunity of being appreciated for their work and in the same way if the men at home appreciates their women for all their work they can have beautiful young wife throughout their life. 

The event was also graced by thousands Lights MLA Dr. Ezhilan. While addressing the audience he told that Sheros have changed the perspective of the world towards Tamilnadu. We were always considered to be the working class but now Sheros have changed it completely. Our Chief Minister is trying to empower women in all ways possible and this event is a great example for it.
